Conscience

And Herod respected John, knowing that he was a good and holy man, so he kept him under his protection. Herod was disturbed whenever he talked with John, but even so, he liked to listen to him. Mark 6:20 

Allan Bloom, in his book The Closing of the American Mind, probably borrowed from Shakespeare’s famous line, “Conscience doth make cowards of us all.” Bloom wrote, “Conscience is a coward and those faults it has not strength enough to prevent, it seldom has justice enough to punish by accusing.”1

The story of John the Baptist and Herod Antipas is a fascinating commentary on Bloom’s observation. Herod and John knew each other well. As a matter of conscience, John had been outspoken in opposing Herod’s marriage to “his brother Philip’s wife, Herodias” (Mark 6:17). Herodias was understandably upset by this public condemnation and persuaded Herod to imprison John. But even in prison John would not be silenced. He “kept telling Herod, ‘It is illegal for you to marry your brother’s wife’ ” (6:18). There was something about John’s integrity which appealed to Herod, and he “liked to listen to him” (6:20), even though John said things he didn’t like to hear. But Herodias did not like it, and when Herod (no doubt in a rash, unguarded, and possibly wine-induced moment) offered Herodias’s daughter anything she wanted—“up to half my kingdom”—she asked for John’s head on a platter. And she got it, much to Herod’s chagrin, because of his fear of losing face (6:26).

When Jesus appeared on the scene, superstitious people said, “This must be John the Baptist come back to life again” (6:14). The gossip reached Herod’s ears, and this powerful man “was worried and puzzled” because of what he heard (Luke 9:7). The ruler of all Galilee and Perea was troubled by a guilty conscience. John, whom he had executed, “was a good and holy man” (Mark 6:20). While Herod sat on his royal throne with a troubled conscience, John had gone to his grave with a clear conscience.

John undoubtedly had his faults, but cowardice was not one of them. Herod was full of faults, but his conscience did not have strength enough to prevent them. Whether or not Herod’s conscience had the justice to accuse his faults, we cannot be sure. At least he was worried and puzzled!

The issue for me, and every modern man, is how to keep the conscience alive, and where to find the courage to respond. In John’s case, the answer was found in his commitment to truth and his relationship to God’s Spirit. It comes down to whether my conscience makes me a coward or my commitment to truth gives me the courage of conviction—whether I’m a Herod or a John.

Heavenly Father, keep me strong in Your Word, that I may proclaim you to all I see, that I not be a coward and help me to be of good conscience in all my dealings.

Learning by Doing

Then Jesus went out from village to village, teaching. And he called his twelve disciples together and sent them out two by two, with authority to cast out evil spirits.Mark 6:6-7
When Socrates taught his pupils in ancient Greece, he did not stand on a podiumwhile they sat in quiet rows assiduously taking notes. Instead, he engaged them in a structured dialogue. Nowadays, graduate students in the Harvard Business School do case studies, students in junior high classes are given team projects, and medical students learn through practical residencies. There are many different ways of learning.

Jesus, the master teacher, sometimes used monologue, while at other times he engaged in dialogue. Occasionally he told parables, which were basically case studies. But the most surprising thing about Jesus’ teaching methods was his commitment to learning by doing.

In the training of the twelve disciples, there came a time when Jesus decided it was time to send them out on a mission. At that juncture, the disciples were clearly not polished preachers or teachers. In fact, they didn’t even have a firm grasp of their subject—as evidenced by their total surprise when Jesus was crucified, and even greater amazement when he rose from the dead, despite the fact that he had been telling them throughout their training that this would happen! And they certainly were not always proficient when they were called upon to confront evil spirits, or even capable of handling the squabbles that arose in their own fellowship. But Jesus sent them out anyway!

The disciples were told to travel in pairs, presumably for mutual support, and were given detailed instructions about traveling light and being content with their lodgings. Because of the urgency of their mission, they would not have time to bother about creature comforts, and since they would need to be constantly on the move in order to reach as many people as possible, they should not be encumbered by unnecessary baggage.

The disciples were charged to “cast out evil spirits” (Mark 6:7). This may have caused them some consternation, but they were given Jesus’ own authority, which was as powerful as the one who delegated it to them. And they were instructed not to waste time talking to people who had no intention of listening to them, even to the point of shaking the dust off their feet as they left an unresponsive village—an action usually done by Jews as they left a pagan environment.

So with a sense of mission, urgency, dependency, apprehension, and expectation they went forth. Uncertain in their own minds, unprepared in their own strength, they went in obedience to Jesus and in dependence on Jesus. They were a blessing—and they were blessed. Ministering as they went, they learned as they worked. God’s teaching methods have not changed.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity You have given us t o share Your word and as we do, we are able to learn through this opportunity. You have given us charge to spread the Gospel far and wide which requires us to spend more time learning as we go, that we may do those things that are pleasing to You and let all we come across hear of the good news of Jesus Christ.

Again Father it is an opportunity and commission that all should take advantage of under Your guidance. Sharing your Love with all who will listen and helping us to learn in the process.

I am thankful for Your trust in me and I do these things in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ!

THE INCORRUPTIBLE CHRIST
 
Acts 2:24
The first word is sometimes as important as the last word.

Seven weeks had passed since the resurrection of Jesus. For 40 amazing days, Jesus appeared to his disciples on many occasions and taught them concerning the Kingdom of God. Then he ascended into the clouds and returned to his Father in heaven. Ten days passed while the disciples huddled in the Upper Room, waiting, praying, watching, wondering what would happen next. On the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-13), the answer came in the form of strange languages, a mighty rushing wind and tongues of fire. At length Peter stood to explain it all to the crowd of baffled onlookers. What did it all mean? Were these men drunk with wine? No, they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then Peter began to preach the gospel. He reminded the hearers that with wicked hands they had crucified Jesus Christ. But that was not the end of the story. On Sunday morning something unbelievable happened. Jesus rose from the dead.

This is how Peter explained it to his transfixed audience: “But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him” (Acts 2:24). This is the first public statement by any Christian regarding what happened that first Sunday morning when the women found the empty tomb.

“God raised him from the dead.” A simple statement of fact.

“Freeing him from the agony of death.” What the resurrection meant for Christ.

“It was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.” The reason Jesus had to rise from the dead.

Impossible!

Looking back, it now seems inevitable to Peter. Only 50 days ago, he and the other disciples were cowering behind closed doors, overcome by grief and fear. After the horrific events of Good Friday, the last thing they expected was a resurrection. Even the women who came to the tomb were coming to anoint a dead body. They had no thought of finding the tomb empty. And when they found it empty, they assumed someone had taken the body away.

What a difference a day makes! Having seen Jesus up close and personal, Peter knew that he had risen from the dead. The impossible had happened. A dead man had come back to life. The Son of God had broken the power of death. The grave had been defeated. And now everything was clear in his mind. He had to rise. It was inevitable. Amazing that he had not seen it sooner. The only word for it was “impossible.” Not “Impossible for Jesus to rise” but “Impossible for Jesus not to rise.”


Ashes to Ashes

As we ponder that remarkable transformation, consider a statement we often hear at funerals: “Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.” We’ve heard it so often, it seems almost a cliché. The phrase harkens back to God’s judgment on Adam in the Garden of Eden. “For dust you are and to dust you will return” (Genesis 3:19).

From the dust, to the dust.

From the dirt, to the dirt.

From the earth, to the earth.

This is the destiny of all men. We rise from the dust, we live 40 or 50 or 60 or 70 or 80 or 90 years, and then back to the dust we go. All of life is just a parenthesis in the journey from dust to dust.

But not Jesus. He did not go back to the dust. Though he died, his body did not decay in the grave. “He was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay” (Acts 2: 31). He died as the sin-bearer. But because he had no sin in himself, his body did not decay in the grave.

But why was it impossible that death could not hold him? Perhaps it is a statement about his power. Jesus at one point said he had the power to lay down his life and the power to take it back up again (John 10:17-18). But the resurrection was more than a demonstration of his divine power. Perhaps it is a statement about the power of the Father. Logic demands that the Father not leave his Son in the grave forever. Certainly, the resurrection proves the power of God over the realm of death. But Peter’s statement goes beyond that. Perhaps it refers to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Peter even quotes Psalm 16 as a prophecy of the resurrection of Christ. But the impossibility to which Peter refers goes beyond prophecy. Perhaps it refers to the moral necessity of vindicating the words of Jesus. He said over and over again that he would rise from the dead. He told his disciples that he would be betrayed, tried, mistreated, crucified, and that on the third day he would rise from the dead. Even if they never really “got it,” he told them many times. If he didn’t rise from the dead, then he is not “the truth” (John 14:6) as he claimed, and his words cannot be trusted. No doubt this is involved in his resurrection, but even that is not the end of the story.

I think the most important factor can be found in a statement Peter makes in Acts 3:15 when he tells the men of Jerusalem that they “killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses” (KJV). Ponder that title: “Prince of Life.” Other versions say, “Author of life.” Jesus is the source of life, the Lord of life, and the Prince of Life. He is life incarnate. Life itself comes from him, and apart from him there is no life at all. If that be true, how then did he die in the first place?

He had to die in order to save us. 

He would not stay dead forever.

Death was necessary to pay the price for our sin. But death could not hold him forever, for death could never conquer life. Death is a powerful foe, but life is supreme. Death wins many battles, but the Prince of Life wins in the end.

Death could not keep its prey, Jesus my Savior.

He tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord.

It was impossible for death to hold him for death can never defeat life in the end. Life always wins because the Prince of Life won the battle 2,000 years ago.


He Simply Slipped Away

It is good to ask ourselves how Jesus rose from the dead. The actual act of resurrection was hidden from human eyes, and the means by which God raised his Son are beyond human understanding. But this much we know. When they took Jesus’ body down from the cross, they wrapped it carefully with strips of linen interspersed with 75 to 125 pounds of spices and aromatic resins. Those spices and gummy resins formed a tight bond with the linen cloth so that it eventually became a hard encasement around the corpse that protected it from potential grave robbers because it made it extremely difficult to remove the linen wrapping. After placing the body in the tomb, an enormous stone was rolled in front of the entrance. Later Pilate had the tomb sealed and posted soldiers at the entrance. The only other fact we know is that the body of Jesus, though dead, did not suffer any decomposition.

Sometime before dawn on Sunday morning, Jesus rose from the dead. From John’s description, it seems as if he passed right through the linen wrappings without disturbing them. I say that because John reports that he and Peter looked inside the tomb and saw the wrappings in the same place where they had been on Friday evening, almost like a cocoon after the butterfly has emerged (John 20:3-9). Jesus simply slipped away from his grave clothes once and for all. He arose from the dead, healthy and vigorous, bearing the scars of his suffering, yet in a glorified human body.

What does this mean for us today? Jesus gave us the answer to that question on the night before his crucifixion. “Let not your heart be troubled” (John 14:1 ESV). How simple, how clear, how profound those words are.

The world is filled with pain. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

There is sadness on every hand. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

We all have questions we can’t answer. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

What will the future hold? “Let not your heart be troubled.”

There is so much sickness. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

We watch war unfold in the Middle East. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

We’re all going to die someday. “Let not your heart be troubled.”

Keith Willhite’s Funeral

After I came home from church on Wednesday night, we received a call from Dallas with the news that Keith Willhite had died. The news was not unexpected even though he was only 45 years old. His wife Denise had told us a week earlier that the end was near. I first met Keith and Denise when he was a student at Dallas Seminary and they attended the church I pastored in a Dallas suburb. That was 20 years ago. Since then we have kept in touch as Keith got his doctoral degree and taught at Denver Seminary and later at Dallas Seminary. In 1997 he was diagnosed with malignant brain tumors. He fought back with all his strength, enduring radiation, chemotherapy and surgery. Shortly before he died, he told Denise he wanted me to speak at his funeral service if I could. And so my dear friend managed to die in the middle of the busiest week of the year for a pastor. It seemed at first that we couldn’t make it to Dallas, but we found a flight and we found a way to juggle my schedule. I spoke at the first of our two Good Friday services, and then Marlene and I flew to Dallas, arriving just after midnight. The funeral service was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in Rockwall, a suburb on the east side of Dallas. After the service, we went to the graveside where Keith’s pastor made some brief remarks. At the end he did something I had never seen before. In some places it is customary to throw dirt into the grave. When the pastor finished, he took the petals from a red carnation and scattered them on the coffin while reciting, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NKJV). It was deeply moving to me. Only later did the symbolism hit home. Dirt represents death, flowers represent life. Or literally, since flowers bloom from the earth, life comes forth from death.

When I spoke at the funeral service that preceded the graveside, I commented that if you have to die, the best week of the year to die is Holy Week because it always ends in a resurrection. It seemed significant that we were burying Keith on Holy Saturday—the day of preparation that comes between Good Friday and Easter. The message of Holy Saturday is, “Get ready. Something is about to happen. But it hasn’t happened yet.” I said to Denise, who was seated right in front of me, “The problem is, Saturday seems so long. It feels like Sunday will never get here. But I checked it out and even though it’s Saturday here in Texas, it’s already Sunday on the other side of the world. Way out there in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Easter has already arrived. And it’s coming in our direction. Thank God, we’re not moving back toward the crucifixion. It may be Saturday but we’re moving toward Easter. Sunday’s coming. All we’ve got to do is hold on a little while longer and Sunday will soon be here.”

I ended my talk with these words. Looking at the coffin, I said, “Rest well, Keith. Death will not have the last word. We will see you again.” Then I sat down.


“If We Believe”

Is that just wishful thinking? Is that just sentimental hoping? On what basis do we believe we will see our loved one again? I tell you the biblical answer. We do not believe in the resurrection of the saints because of anything we see with our eyes. All around us we see death and more death. Death still reigns in the world. It’s been a long time since anyone has seen a resurrection. Everything we see with our eyes argues against it. But faith will triumph in the end. We do not believe in the resurrection of the saints because of what we see with our eyes. We believe in the resurrection of the saints because we believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Listen to the Word of the Lord: “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus” (I Thessalonians 4:13-14 NASB).

“If we believe.” Do you believe that Jesus died and rose again? I do.

That’s all you have to believe. But that’s the “whole ballgame” from God’s point of view. That’s the whole message of Easter. If God raised his own Son from the dead, he will not leave in the grave those who believed in Jesus while they were alive. Because he rose, we too will rise. Because he lives, we too will live.


“Temporary Residence”

There’s good news from the graveyard this morning.

Good news that the tomb is empty.

Good news that Jesus rose from the dead.

Good news that the devil couldn’t hold him.

Good news that death has lost its sting.

Good news that the grave has lost its victory.

Good news that we need not fear death any more.

As far as I know my heart this morning, I am not afraid to die. Not because I am especially brave. For I am not. But I know what’s on the other side. My Lord has come back and told me what I can expect. I don’t have anything to worry about.

If you hear that I have died tonight, when you bury me, stick up a sign that says, “Temporary residence.” I’m coming back up. You can count on it. I say that without any sense of pride or boasting. For my resurrection does not depend on me.

It does not depend on my good deeds.

It does not depend on any merit in me at all.

It depends solely and wholly on my Lord Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning. He promised that if I would trust in him, someday I would rise with him. I’ve staked my entire life on that promise. If it’s not true, I have no other hope.

But it is true. That’s why I don’t plan on staying dead forever.


Don’t Look in the Graveyard

Good news from the graveyard? That’s a strange place for good news. But that’s what Easter is all about. If you’re looking for Jesus today, don’t look in the graveyard. He isn’t there. He left the graveyard 2,000 years ago and never went back.

The really good news is this … If you are looking for Jesus today, you can meet him right now. May I introduce you to him? His name is Jesus of Nazareth. He is the Son of God from heaven. God so loved you that he sent Jesus to die on the cross for you. He was buried in Joseph’s tomb. He rose from the dead on Easter Sunday morning. He paid for your sins so that if you believe in him you will never perish but have everlasting life.

Are you trusting the One who rose from the dead? Jesus is alive and standing with open arms inviting you to accept his offer of eternal life. The door to Heaven is wide open. I invite you to take a step of faith and allow Jesus to prove to you that he is alive. I extend to you a personal invitation to consider becoming a Christian: If your soul is hungry for something more than you have found, try Jesus. If Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, make sure you open the door.

Each of us has an appointment with death sooner or later. But that is a cause for rejoicing—not for fear, provided we have put our trust in the One who holds the keys of life and death. Here is the final proof that death has been destroyed. When Jesus rose from the dead, he left the door to the tomb wide open. That means we won’t have to fight our way out of the grave when he calls us to wake up. He left the door open 2,000 years ago. That is God’s guarantee that even though we die, we won’t stay dead forever.

One final word and I am done. Perhaps you’ve seen the billboard with a picture of Jesus hanging on the cross. Underneath the picture are three words: “It’s your move.”

Jesus died on the cross. It’s your move now.

Jesus rose from the dead. It’s your move now.

God has answered our deepest questions with the simplicity of an empty tomb. On this happy Easter morning I declare to you that Jesus Christ is alive. My friend, what will you say to that? What difference does it make to you? Will you give him your heart and your life? Will you trust him as Lord and Savior?

It’s your move now.

Mountains

Mountains

I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth!Psalm 121:1-2

Some men regard mountains as sacred residences of spiritual beings. They treat the peaks with deference. So a British expedition stopped just short of the summit of Kanchenjunga at the request of the Sikkim government because it was believed the gods lived there. Other men, like the great military leader Hannibal, see the mountains as a hindrance to be overcome. In the third century b.c. he marshaled his army and led them over the Alps from Spain into northern Italy—a spectacular feat made even more dramatic by the fact that the army’s supplies were carried over the mountains by elephants! Still other men, when they look at the soaring peaks, see a challenge to be accepted. So when a mountaineer was asked why he tried to climb Everest, he said simply, “Because it was there.”

The psalm writer, on viewing the mountains, asked the question, “Does my help come from there?” (Ps. 121:1). As he was on a pilgrimage journey, climbing the rough road to Jerusalem, which lies nestled in the mountains, perhaps the psalm writer asked himself whether Jerusalem, and all it stood for, was the answer to his feelings of insecurity. Or perhaps the psalm writer had just completed a time of festival worship in the Holy City, and as he contemplated the mountainous terrain lying between him and his home, this question came to mind.

The answer is forthcoming, and serves to direct the psalm writer’s attention to the Lord, who made the mountains—in fact, He is the one “who made the heavens and the earth!” (121:2). The Lord is the one from whom all things come, in whom all things consist, and because of whom all things continue to be.

As we face life’s mountains, our help comes from the Lord. The mountains are austere, forbidding, and immovable. Because of this, men may be excused if they gain he impression that the One who made the mountains—and everything else—is similarly austere, forbidding, and immovable. But the psalm writer insists otherwise. The Lord himself is the one who “watches over you” (121:5). He is not remote; He is “at hand.” He is not uncaring; He is alert to our condition and aware of our needs. He is not callous and indifferent; His ears are attentive to our cries.

The mountains of life may hold promise of adventure or cast grim shadows of foreboding, but nothing they offer or threaten can alter the fact that “The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever” (121:8). Hannibal crossed his mountains with the help of elephants. To cross our mountains, we have the Lord!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Thank You for putting the Mountains in my path that I may find peace and solitude in them and in the knowledge that though they may seem like great obstacles, they are not my strength. My strength comes only from You. ThankYou for the strength You give me to overcome my mountains!

A Virtuous Woman

Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies.Proverbs 31:10
Naomi Wolf wrote in a recent book, “There are no good girls; we are all bad girls.” She went on to suggest that, since this is the case, women should admit it, society should accept it, and everybody should get on with their lives. Presumably, traditional thoughts of feminine virtue and decorum, grace, and beauty should be jettisoned, and women should be allowed to behave like—well, like men!

Should that happen, the search for a virtuous woman will become even more of a challenge than it apparently was in the days that the book of Proverbs was written. There we read, “Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?” (Prov. 31:10). Given her stated worth as being “more precious than rubies,” it appears that there were not enough “virtuous and capable” women to go around. But men were nevertheless well-advised to search for such a woman, because a virtuous and capable woman’s “husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. She will not hinder him but help him all her life” (31:12).

As this “Proverbs 31” woman is described, her virtues and capabilities come clearly to the fore. In fact, she appears to be a superwoman. It is no wonder that such a woman, once discovered, would be a precious treasure! Perhaps no one woman is expected to display all the characteristics of the woman described here. Her trustworthiness, her industry, her foresight, her wisdom, her generosity, her reputation, her faith, her wisdom, her kindness, her childcare, and her love for her husband are the characteristics that a man should look for in a wife and virtues that he should nurture and nourish once she has agreed to share her life with him.

Unfortunately, men often tend to look on the physical attractiveness of a woman as her most significant asset, and they may overlook more important aspects of her person. They should remember that “charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised” (31:30). In other words, a woman’s outward appearance is not insignificant, but her inward disposition is profoundly more significant. And this disposition stems from a heart for the Lord. In other words, her faith matters more than her face!

Feminists like Naomi Wolf may be convinced that all girls are bad, but they’re wrong. God has his women, and a wise man who has sought one of them, wooed her, won her, and cherished her will never let her go—and he will treat her in such a way that she’ll never want to stray.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, as I come before you this day, I want to thank You for coming into my life, for showing me Your Love and especially for leading me to my wife, who, is more precious than rubies, gold or diamonds combined.

SATISFACTION

Satisfaction

O God, I beg two favors from you before I die. First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.Proverbs 30:7-8
As late as the nineteenth century, leeches were used by physicians in the treatment of a variety of ailments. The green and brown worms were attached to the patient, and the sucker at each end of the leech’s anatomy went to work. The leech’s saliva contains an anticoagulant to stop the blood clotting, an anesthetic so the patient (victim!) feels no discomfort, and a substance which dilates the vessels to facilitate the blood flow. Leeches are highly sophisticated suckers!

Dissatisfaction is a leech. Agur, a writer of proverbs, said, “The leech has two suckers that cry out, ‘More, more!’ There are three other things—no, four!—that are never satisfied: the grave, the barren womb, the thirsty desert, the blazing fire” (Prov. 30:15-16). The person who is never satisfied, who cries out continually for “more, more” is probably anesthetized to the fact that, because he concentrates on what he doesn’t have, he is incapable of enjoying what he does have. And all the time, joy, delight, contentment, and thanksgiving flow freely away from his thoughts, leaving him depleted and spiritually anemic.

The picture of the leech is sufficient to portray the attitudes and condition of the dissatisfied man. But the further analogies of grave, barren womb, thirsty desert, and blazing fire serve to underline his serious condition. Not only does his dissatisfied soul find no satisfaction, but his dissatisfaction creates further dissatisfaction and he sinks into the grave of deadened delight while the fires of insatiable longings consume him. His life becomes barren like a desert, and the inner longings of his soul cry out unheeded, unanswered, and unmet. So what can be done about it?

Agur prayed a mature prayer, which should be echoed by every person concerning his financial status and spiritual condition: “O God, I beg two favors from you before I die. First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ and if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name” (30:7-9). The poor man, who, understandably, is not satisfied with his poverty, may be tempted to steal in order to have enough to survive. His dissatisfaction can lead him into an endless cycle of trouble. So Agur wisely prays to be delivered from poverty. But the pathologies of abundance need to be addressed as well. For abundance and affluence not only create a desire for more, but also a dangerous tendency to self-sufficiency. For the man who has everything—even if he wants more—may decide he doesn’t need God. So Agur prays to be delivered from abundance, and asks for just enough to satisfy his needs (30:8).

The leeches of dissatisfaction will drain you—but the vitamins of contentment will sustain you.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank you for my life and the opportunity you gave me to experience both abundance and near poverty. I am most appreciative as You have now given me the two things Agur prayed for. I am bless to have my family and enough to provide for our needs and occasionally our wants, but neither to excess. May You bless others that they too may find the proper balance and be appreciative of you for providing that balance in life. I would further ask that You enter the hearts of those that need you most and help them to look toward You for the answers to their quest.

These blessings I humbly ask in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ...

Children and Discipline

Discipline your children, and they will give you happiness and peace of mind. When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is happy.Proverbs 29:17-18
The cultivated rose, that most fragrant and most beautiful of flowers, has captured the imaginations of poets and songwriters down through the centuries. But roses left to themselves soon run wild. They lose their fragrance, the blooms deteriorate, thorns and brambles take over, and no one writes of their beauty. They need the pruner’s knife to cultivate them and make them beautiful again.

Children “run wild” when they are not exposed to helpful discipline (Prov. 29:18). This creates problems for their parents, for themselves, and for anyone else who crosses their paths. Their parents experience embarrassment and public disgrace by their behavior (29:15). The children themselves, not obeying God’s law or even their parents’, are not happy (29:18). So if parents want to do the right thing for their children, and at the same time save themselves some grief, they should listen to Scripture, which says, “to discipline and reprimand a child produces wisdom“ (29:15) and “discipline your children, and they will give you happiness and peace of mind” (29:17).

Discipline is not designed for the benefit of parents, so that they can work out their frustrations—it is for the good of the children. It is intended to save young people from foolishness and lead them into wisdom. It is meant to show them the right way and encourage them to follow it.

Many children appear to have a nose for folly and an aversion to wisdom. This is because they have a built-in bias toward doing their own thing, being their own person, and satisfying their own desires. Discipline is designed to help them see that, as responsible members of the human race, they cannot live wisely and well if they become absorbed with themselves, focused on getting their own way, and determined to brook no opposition. That kind of living is an affront to God, an embarrassment to parents, and, ultimately, destructive of the young person.

A big question in modern Western culture is “What is the right way to discipline a child?” In Old Testament times, the answer was to use the “rod of correction”—to apply physical punishment to the anatomy of the offending youngster. In recent times, this has been frowned upon as a form of child abuse. Some would respond, “That is why we have created a permissive society.” Both have a point!

More recently, the emphasis in child-rearing has been on explaining to the child what is unacceptable, pointing out the natural consequences, and appealing to the child’s better nature. Perhaps a paraphrase of Proverbs would be a suitable response to this approach: “For a [child], mere words are not enough—discipline is needed. For the words may be understood, but they are not heeded” (29:19).

Parents who are careful to show children what they need to heed will find that they themselves are blessed with what they desperately need—peace of mind! More importantly, the child will have peace of heart and life.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for my parents, for their teachings, for the discipline I surely needed at times. Thank you for allowing me to grow up in a society that learned respect for others and authority, to help others when they needed it and to be a true friend to those I met. I would ask Father that we would be able to get away from all this PC and hatred in the world and show others the Love that only You can bring into the world. Bless those this day who are bringing children into this world that they be guided to Your word and realize that all children are a gift from You, to be born and raised in a Godly home and not discarded as though they are an inconvenience to be thrown away as trash. Help us Father to become real families again and take responsibility for bringing up our children in a two parent home where equality of life is a shared responsibility, and Your word is learned from an early age I pray in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our final and only Hope to save the World.

If you really read this and look at Washington DC and our current government and representatives, it makes sense as to why they don't want to upset the Apple Cart. It would expose them for what they really are!

Honesty is the best policy” is a well-known aphorism. But it does not convey what Richard Whately, the Archbishop of Dublin, actually meant. The complete quotation is as follows: “Honesty is the best policy; but he who is governed by that maxim is not an honest man.”1 In the Archbishop’s mind, to say “Honesty is the best policy” is to speak from a purely pragmatic point of view, not necessarily to be guided by the principle that honesty is intrinsically right and dishonesty is innately wrong!

It is true that “honesty is the best policy” can be nothing more than a hard-nosed, calculating conclusion. The person who believes “honesty is the best policy” may not be making a moral statement at all, and he may even be ready to engage in dishonest behavior if he thinks it will pay dividends. That is how a fundamentally dishonest man can subscribe to the idea that “honesty is the best policy.”

Proverbs says, “It is better to be poor and honest than rich and crooked” (Prov. 28:6). This is not to suggest that all the poor are honest or that all the rich are crooked. But, all things being equal, being crooked has been known to lead to economic advantage, and being honest has at times been a financial disadvantage.

The point at issue, however, is that the advantages gained by dishonesty demand a heavy price from the dishonest man. That price is the disturbance of conscience, the fear of disclosure, the compounding of the problem by cover-up and further lies, and the ultimate accounting to God. The honest man pays no such price—while he may be financially impoverished, he is morally rich.

Dishonesty in financial dealings is robbery, and dishonesty in business is arrogance. What could be more arrogant than the attitude of the liar who lies to gain advantage and says, in effect, “You do not deserve the truth and I am the one who determines what you deserve”?

Dishonesty in the marriage bond, though, is destruction. The adulterer uses the body of his paramour without thought for her person and destroys her self-esteem. He abuses the love of his wife without thought for her heartbreak and destroys her ability to trust. It is fundamentally wrong!

The honest man will pay his taxes and be poorer, will deal fairly in business and may miss a deal, and will be true to his wife and never taste forbidden fruit. But he will know that in the eyes of his God he did right, that he did not contribute to the “moral rot” (28:2) of his society, and he did not lead “the upright into sin” (28:10). For him, it is not a matter of pragmatic policy—it is a matter of spiritual integrity.

Strength and Encouragement

Strength and Encouragement

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength
- Isaiah 40:29

It is not hard to find someone who will give support to the powerful, attention to the famous, notice to the remarkable, or recognition to the accomplished. Virtually everyone is willing to jump on the bandwagon of some well-known, talented, or beautiful person.

But God gives encouragement to the faint. He gives strength to the exhausted. He does not join the crowds hurrying after celebrities; he seeks out the broken-hearted and the overlooked and gives them the greatest honor imaginable -- his attention and his love.

This is not because God is a cosmic talent-scout, finding the individual diamonds in the many roughs throughout the world. It is to those who truly have no merit, who can stake no claim to his assets, who have no might that he sends reinforcements of strength and provision. It is God's grace, not our value, that draws him to hurting, helpless humanity.

While this is humbling -- even huumiliating -- to realize, it is also liberating and invigorating. We can let all our collected claims of good works and inherent worth fall around our feet as we reach out to a God who only heals the sick, who only mends the broken, who only gives strength to the powerless.

How do you see yourself? It doesn't matter how others might describe you; perhaps they even consider you among the great, the mighty, the successful. But are you broken-hearted and helpless before the Lord? If so, then prepare for a strength infusion from the most High himself.

Patience and Hope

Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus
- Hebrews 12:1b-2a

Where do we find the strength for this grueling, often disheartening, many-obstacled race that is the Christian life? It is only found in fixing our gaze upon the God-man. Only as we look to Jesus do we find the persevering grace to run and not be weary, to walk and not faint.

Duty, without the beatific sight of Christ firmly focused before our eyes, will be nothing more than drudgery. On the other hand, to truly see Christ is to be transformed by the sight. There is no such thing as looking at Jesus and not being changed.

Do you struggle with personal purity? Look to Jesus, and be reminded of the superior pleasure of your perfect Savior. Are you wrestling with grief? Look to Jesus, and be comforted by the sovereign goodness of your God. Have you given into temptation? Look to Jesus, and see the forgiveness that pours from those cross wounds.

Only an unclouded, Bible-grounded view of Jesus can inspire us to faith, and give us the strength that we will need for faithful living. Fear of hell, fondness for family, love of fellowship, or hope of heaven -- none of these are strong enough to build a joyful, persevering, self-sacrificing, Christ-exalting life upon.

Conversely, if we see our determination lagging or our strength diminishing, this is a certain indicator that our gaze has dropped, that our eyes are not fixed upon Jesus as they ought to be. As hymnwriter Helen Lemmel exhorts:

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace."

Heavenly Father, give me the strength to lead a Spirit Filled Life, an to keep my eyes toward You, for You Alone are my...

This page censored at WikipediaFourth of July 2002 has come and gone, and Americans honored the holiday with a renewed patriotic fervor that reminded me of the Bicentennial celebrations of 1976. As is customary, traditional fireworks displays took center stage and scores of people turned out to witness the dazzling show in the summer sky. With mixed feelings, I sat with friends on a crowded Pennsylvania sidewalk beneath a glittering, mesmerizing explosion of color, pondering the keen sense of sadness and betrayal that overwhelmed my spirit. Looking around at the huge crowds gathered for the annual events, I thought silently, "We are not free." In truth, we have not been a free people for a very long time.

We celebrate this day in honor of our "independence". We call ourselves a free people in a land of liberty. Our anthems proudly sing the praises of this nation, and we raise our voices, wave our flags and join in song — but how many Americans realize they are not free? This is a myth perpetuated by the powers-that-be in order to avoid any major civil unrest, and to keep us all living under the thumb of a militaristic corporate Big Brother within the illusions that have been created for us. The truth of the matter is this: what freedom has not been stolen from us, we have surrendered willingly through our silence and ignorance. As Americans, most of us have no idea how our freedoms are maintained — or lost. Apparently, our ancestors didn't have a good grasp of this either. It is sad, but it is also very true.

Don't point to that beloved parchment, the Constitution, as a symbol of your enduring freedom. It is representative of a form of government which seemingly no longer exists in this country today. The Constitution has been thrown out the window, the Republic shoved aside and replaced with a democracy. The thing is; most people in this country remain unaware that this is so because they simply do not know the truth — what lies beyond the myths. Your so-called government is not going to tell you, either.

To even begin to understand what has happened to the Republic, we must look backward in time to the period following the Civil War. We must go back to the year 1871, which was the beginning of the decline of the Republic. When we examine what happened during that time in our history, we begin to piece together this troubling, perplexing puzzle that is "America" — only then should we answer as to whether we are indeed a "free" people or not.

So, let's roll backward into the past for a moment. It is time we learned what they didn't teach us in school. It is far more interesting than what they DID tell us. I think you'll stay awake for this lesson.


The date is February 21, 1871 and the Forty-First Congress is in session. I refer you to the "Acts of the Forty-First Congress," Section 34, Session III, chapters 61 and 62. On this date in the history of our nation, Congress passed an Act titled: "An Act To Provide A Government for the District of Columbia." This is also known as the "Act of 1871." What does this mean? Well, it means that Congress, under no constitutional authority to do so, created a separate form of government for the District of Columbia, which is a ten mile square parcel of land.

What??? How could they do that? Moreover, WHY would they do that? To explain, let's look at the circumstances of those days. The Act of 1871 was passed at a vulnerable time in America. Our nation was essentially bankrupt — weakened and financially depleted in the aftermath of the Civil War. The Civil War itself was nothing more than a calculated "front" for some pretty fancy footwork by corporate backroom players. It was a strategic maneuver by European interests (the international bankers) who were intent upon gaining a stranglehold on the neck (and the coffers) of America.

The Congress realized our country was in dire financial straits, so they cut a deal with the international bankers — (in those days, the Rothschilds of London were dipping their fingers into everyone's pie) thereby incurring a DEBT to said bankers. If we think about banks, we know they do not just lend us money out of the goodness of their hearts. A bank will not do anything for you unless it is entirely in their best interest to do so. There has to be some sort of collateral or some string attached which puts you and me (the borrower) into a subservient position. This was true back in 1871 as well. The conniving international bankers were not about to lend our floundering nation any money without some serious stipulations. So, they devised a brilliant way of getting their foot in the door of the United States (a prize they had coveted for some time, but had been unable to grasp thanks to our Founding Fathers, who despised them and held them in check), and thus, the Act of 1871 was passed.

In essence, this Act formed the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. Note the capitalization, because it is important. This corporation, owned by foreign interests, moved right in and shoved the original "organic" version of the Constitution into a dusty corner. With the "Act of 1871," our Constitution was defaced in the sense that the title was block-capitalized and the word "for" was changed to the word "of" in the title. The original Constitution drafted by the Founding Fathers, was written in this manner:

"The Constitution for the united states of America".

The altered version reads: "THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". It is the corporate constitution. It is NOT the same document you might think it is. The corporate constitution operates in an economic capacity and has been used to fool the People into thinking it is the same parchment that governs the Republic. It absolutely is not.

Capitalization — an insignificant change? Not when one is referring to the context of a legal document, it isn't. Such minor alterations have had major impacts on each subsequent generation born in this country. What the Congress did with the passage of the Act of 1871 was create an entirely new document, a constitution for the government of the District of Columbia. The kind of government THEY created was a corporation. The new, altered Constitution serves as the constitution of the corporation, and not that of America. Think about that for a moment.

Incidentally, this corporate constitution does not benefit the Republic. It serves only to benefit the corporation. It does nothing good for you or me — and it operates outside of the original Constitution. Instead of absolute rights guaranteed under the "organic" Constitution, we now have "relative" rights or privileges. One example of this is the Sovereign's right to travel, which has been transformed under corporate government policy into a "privilege" which we must be licensed to engage in. This operates outside of the original Constitution.

So, Congress committed TREASON against the People, who were considered Sovereign under the Declaration of Independence and the organic Constitution. When we consider the word "Sovereign," we must think about what the word means.

According to Webster's Dictionary, "sovereign" is defined as: 1. chief or highest; supreme. 2. Supreme in power, superior in position to all others. 3. Independent of, and unlimited by, any other, possessing or entitled to, original and independent authority or jurisdiction.

In other words, our government was created by and for "sovereigns" — the free citizens who were deemed the highest authority. Only the People can be sovereign — remember that. Government cannot be sovereign. We can also look to the Declaration of Independence, where we read: "government is subject to the consent of the governed" — that's supposed to be us, the sovereigns. Do you feel like a sovereign nowadays? I don't.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a constitutional historian to figure out that this is not what is happening in our country today. Government in these times is NOT subject to the consent of the governed. Rather, the governed are subject to the whim and greed of the corporation, which has stretched its tentacles beyond the ten-mile-square parcel of land known as the District of Columbia — encroaching into every state of the Republic. Mind you, the corporation has NO jurisdiction outside of the District of Columbia. THEY just want you to think it does.

You see, you are presumed to know the law. This is ironic because as a people, we are taught basically nothing about the law in school. We are made to memorize obscure factoids and paragraphs here and there, such as the Preamble, and they gloss over the Bill of Rights. But we are not told about the law. Nor do our corporate government schools delve into the Constitution in any great depth. After all, they were put into place to indoctrinate and dumb down the masses — not to teach us anything. We were not told that we were sold-out to foreign interests and made beneficiaries of the debt incurred by Congress to the international bankers. For generations, American citizens have had the bulk of their earnings confiscated to pay on a massive debt that they, as a People, did not incur. There are many, many things the People have not been told. How do you feel about being made a beneficiary of somebody else's massive debt without your knowledge or consent? Are we gonna keep going along with this??

When you hear some individuals say that the Constitution is null and void, think about how our government has transformed over time from a municipal or service-oriented entity to a corporate or profit-oriented entity. We are living under the myth that this is lawful, but it is not. We are being ruled by a "de facto," or unlawful, form of government — the corporate body of the death-mongers — The Controllers.

With the passage of the Act of 1871, a series of subtle and overt deceptions were set in motion — all in conjunction and collusion with the Congress, who knowingly and deliberately sold the People down the river. Did they tell you this in government school? I doubt it. They were too busy drumming the fictional version of history into your brain — and mine. By failing to disclose what THEY did to the American People, the people became ignorant of what was happening. Over time, the Republic took it on the chin to the point of a knockdown. With the surrender of their gold in 1933, the People essentially surrendered their law. I don't suppose you were taught THAT in school either. That's because our REAL history is hidden from us. This is the way Roman Civil Law works — and our form of governance today is based upon Roman Civil Law and Admiralty/Maritime Law — better known as the "Divine Right of Kings" and "Law of the Seas", respectively. This explains a lot. Roman Civil Law was fully established in the original colonies even before our nation began and is also known as private international law.

The government which was created for the District of Columbia via the Act of 1871 operates under Private International Law, and not Common Law, which was the law of the Constitutional Republic. This is very important to note since it impacts all Americans in concrete ways. You must recognize that private international law is only applicable within the District of Columbia and NOT in the other states of the Union. The various arms of the corporation are known as "departments" such as the Judiciary, Justice and Treasury. You recognize those names? Yes, you do! But they are not what you assume them to be. These "departments" all belong to the corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. They do NOT belong to you and me under the corporate constitution and its various amendments that operate outside of the Constitutional Republic.

I refer you to the UNITED STATES CODE (note the capitalization, indicating the corporation, not the Republic) Title 28 3002 (15) (A) (B) (C). It is stated unequivocally that the UNITED STATES is a corporation [see note]. Realize, too, that the corporation is not a separate and distinct entity from the government. It IS the government. YOUR government. This is extremely important. I refer to this as the "corporate empire of the UNITED STATES," which operates under Roman Civil Law outside of the Constitution. How do you like being ruled by a cheesy, sleazy corporation? You'll ask your Congressperson about this, you say? HA!!

Congress is fully aware of this deception. You must be made aware that the members of Congress do NOT work for you and me. Rather, they work for the Corporation known as THE UNITED STATES. Is this really any surprise to you? This is why we can't get them to do anything on our behalf or to answer to us — as in the case with the illegal income tax — among many other things. Contrary to popular belief, they are NOT our civil servants. They do NOT work for us. They are the servants of the corporate government and carry out its bidding. Period.

The great number of committees and sub-committees that the Congress has created all work together like a multi-headed monster to oversee the various corporate "departments." And, you should know that every single one of these that operates outside the District of Columbia is in violation of the law. The corporate government of the UNITED STATES has no jurisdiction or authority in ANY state of the Republic beyond the District of Columbia. Let this sink into your brain for a minute. Ask yourself, "Could this deception REALLY have occurred without the full knowledge and complicity of the Congress?" Do you think it happened by accident? You are deceiving yourself if you do. There are no accidents or coincidences. It is time to confront the truth and awaken from ignorance.

Your legislators will not apprise you of this information. You are presumed to know the law. THEY know you don't know the law, or your history for that matter, because this information has not been taught to you. No concerted effort has been made to inform you. As a Sovereign, you are entitled to full disclosure of the facts. As a slave, you are entitled to nothing other than what the corporation decides to "give" you — at a price. Be wary of accepting so-called "benefits" of the corporation of the UNITED STATES. Aren't you enslaved enough already?

I said (above) that you are presumed to know the law. Still, it matters not if you don't in the eyes of the corporation. Ignorance of the law is not considered an excuse. It is your responsibility and your obligation as an American to learn about the law and how it applies to you. THEY count on the fact that most people are too uninterested or distracted or lazy to do so. The People have been mentally conditioned to allow the alleged government to do their thinking for them. We need to turn that around if we are to save our Republic before it is too late.

The UNITED STATES government is basically a corporate instrument of the international bankers. This means YOU are owned by the corporation from birth to death. The corporate UNITED STATES also holds ownership of all your assets, your property, and even your children. Does this sound untrue? Think long and hard about all those bills you pay, all those various taxes and fines and licenses you must pay for. Yes, they've got you by the pockets. Actually, they've had you by the ass for as long as you've been alive. In your heart, you know it's true. Don't believe any of this? Read up on the 14th Amendment. Check out how "free" you really are.

With the Act of 1871 and subsequent legislation such as the purportedly ratified 14th Amendment, our once-great nation of Sovereigns has been subverted from a Republic to a democracy. As is the case under Roman Civil Law, our ignorance of the facts has led to our silence. Our silence has been construed as our consent to become beneficiaries of a debt we did not incur. The Sovereign People have been deceived for hundreds of years into thinking they remain free and independent, when in actuality we continue to be slaves and servants of the corporation.

Treason was committed against the People in 1871 by the Congress. This could have been corrected through the decades by some honest men (assuming there were some), but it was not, mainly due to lust for money and power. Nothing new there. Are we to forgive and justify this crime against the People? You have lost more freedom than you may realize due to corporate infiltration of the so-called government. We will lose more unless we turn away from a democracy that is the direct road to disaster — and restore our Constitutional Republic.

In an upcoming article, we'll take a closer look at the purportedly ratified 14th Amendment and how we became "property" of the corporation and enslaved by our silence.

I am saddened to think about the brave men and women who were killed in all the wars and conflicts instigated by the Controllers. These courageous souls fought for the preservation of ideals they believed to be true — not for the likes of a corporation. Do you believe that any one of the individuals who have been killed as a result of war would have willingly fought if they knew the full truth? Do you think one person would have laid down his life for a corporation? I think not. If the People had known long ago to what extent their trust had been betrayed, I wonder how long it would have taken for another Revolution. What we need is a Revolution in THOUGHT. We change our thinking and we change our world.

Will we ever restore the Republic? That is a question I cannot answer yet. I hope, and most of all — pray — that WE, the Sovereign People, will work together in a spirit of cooperation to make it happen in this lifetime. I know I will give it my best shot — come what may. Our children deserve their rightful legacy — the liberty our ancestors fought so hard to give to us. Will we remain silent telling ourselves we are free, and perpetuate the MYTH? Or, do we stand as One Sovereign People, and take back what has been stolen from the house of our Republic?

(15) "United States" means —
   (A) a Federal corporation;
   (B) an agency, department, commission, board, or other entity of the United States; or
   (C) an instrumentality of the United States.

Note that (B) and (C) refer to (A), so basically, in the American legal code the "United States" is a federal corporation, not a country.

This is a myth perpetuated by the powers-that-be in order to avoid any major civil unrest, and to keep us all living under the thumb of a militaristic corporate Big Brother within the illusions that have been created for us. This is an illusion that the countries controllers immortalize to avoid the People realizing the truth. It allows them to keep the population under the militaristic control of a Big Brother Conglomerate of corporate control.
The truth of the matter is this: what freedom has not been stolen from us, we have surrendered willingly through our silence and ignorance. As Americans, most of us have no idea how our freedoms are maintained — or lost. Apparently, our ancestors didn't have a good grasp of this either.The Freedoms which have not been stolen from us, we have given up willingly through ignorance and apathy. Allowing ourselves to be distracted by baubles and shiny objects like children. We the people had no idea how to maintain our Freedoms or for that matter, how they could be taken from us.
Don't point to that beloved parchment, the Constitution, as a symbol of your enduring freedom. It is representative of a form of government which seemingly no longer exists in this country today. Those in denial will immediately shout about the parchment known as the Constitution. That is the Symbol of Freedom for the people. It symbolizes the Representative form of government that no longer exists in the United States of America.
The Constitution has been thrown out the window, the Republic shoved aside and replaced with a democracy. The thing is; most people in this country remain unaware that this is so because they simply do not know the truth — what lies beyond the myths.The Constitution is dead and the Republic has been replaced with a corrupt form of Democracy. The saddest part of this fiasco is that most Americans will never know or realize exactly what it was that they lost. They will never see the Truth behind the lies.
To even begin to understand what has happened to the Republic, we must look backward in time to the period following the Civil War. The Congress realized our country was in dire financial straits, so they cut a deal with the international bankers — (in those days, the Rothschilds of London were dipping their fingers into everyone's pie) thereby incurring a DEBT to said bankers.The Congress knew that our country was bankrupt, so they made an arrangement with the International Bankers to run up a Debt to these Foreign Banks ( the Rothschilds of London were investing in many enterprises Globally).

The only way that a Bank would enter into a contract is if it would benefit the Bank. Americans are lied to in a great many ways but perhaps the most perfidious is the actual truth that the subsequent Constitution for the United States does not apply to 14th Amendment United States citizens. Americans universally do not even understand that the legal term 'citizen' means *subject*; i.e., serf. They do not realize that they have, typically by their formal and/or tacit acceptance, contracted away all unalienable rights to the UNITED STATES Federal corporation which owns them and now have only 'privileges' as commercial entities. They do not realize that they do not even 'own' their own names. Their names, via the birth certificate registered, are owned by the corporation. No longer men and women. Just 'human beings'(corporate resources) which in Black's Law means "monsters". The Corporate United States is intertwined with all similar so-called governments across the planet, which today are not sovereign nations but simply private mega corporations masquerading as the sovereign nations they replaced. The 'one world government' of the Banking elites seems nearly at hand — though there do appear to be some nations unwilling to go along with that scheme ... it 'appears' Russia is such a one. Until proven to me otherwise, my prayers will lie with it inasmuch as I cannot abide a (hideous) private corporation such as the US, Great Britain, Canada, France, et al. now are (and legally defined as such and as commercial entities), that depend upon rape and theft of the remainder of the world for its/their financial sustenance. Oh, for those that did not know this, the United States is legally in receivership to the IMF having gone through at least three unsuccessful bankruptcies. Administered by the UN. All of this may seem strange to many, but all you have to do is go back to maritime/admiralty law, money 'magic' and Babylon. The evil has been around for a very long time and is currently personified by Israel (though the real power is in the City of London).
